> philosophical advice." As he lectures you and your daughter, Derrida moves
> off the tracks to a safe distance.

> So, foolishly taking Derrida's advice, you stay on the tracks, calm your
> daughter, and take up the novel and read while waiting for the train to get
> closer so you can "judge it fairly." Derrida is fairly beaming, though still
> exhorting you for your whole wallet, as you only tossed him a fifty.

> But the approaching train cannot be ignored. Its engines and whistle are
> deafening and it looms above you, blotting out half the sky. At the last
> moment, you realize that Derrida was lying and you have been a fool. You
